Silver pendant with polychrome cloisonné enamel, featuring a radiating composition bordered with applied granules and fitted with seven articulated drops.
Produced in BENI YENNI, Kabylie (Algeria), a major centre of enamelled silverwork from the late 19th century onwards. The use of multicoloured cloisonné enamel, radiating motifs and articulated pendants is typical of this regional tradition. The pendant formed part of women’s jewellery and could be worn alone or combined within a larger chest ornament.
