Antique IDA OU NATIF earrings silver with niello and old glass South Morocco ethnographic jewellery

Pair of antique silver earrings from southern Morocco, attributable to the IDA OU NATIF groups within the Aït Baamrane area. Each earring consists of a semi-circular chased and niello-decorated silver plate set with a boxed red-glass element. Several stamped pendants are articulated along the lower edge. The fastening, made from a thick folded wire, is typical of older rural jewellery from this region. Fully handmade work predating modern production.

One of the earrings is missing a pendant.
